Daring Spirt: Ariana Bahret
Ariana Bahret is a native New Yorker who has lived and practiced in some of the most beautiful places on earth – Hawaii, Santa Barbara, Sedona, Chicago, and Newburyport, MA. She holds a B.S. in Biology (magna cum laude) from Boston College, has taught science to all ages (three-year-olds to Ph.D.s) and has conducted genetic research (advanced genome sequencing) including contribution to the Human Genome Project. Her passion lies in blending the worlds of science and spirituality through her healing work and classes. In addition to being a Certified LifeLine Practitioner, she is certified in Integrative Energy Healing, Rising Star Healing, Arcturian Healing, Kundalini Reiki and Akashic Record Readings.
The LifeLine Technique is a powerful fusion of science, body, mind and spirit. It's an advanced healing system which integrates 14 modalities of natural healing into one unified system. At the root cause of every symptom, stress, and disease is a subconscious emotional pattern of reaction. When activated, this pattern of reaction will cause both behavioral and biological stressors. Any physical or emotional symptom that we experience is a "gift in strange wrapping paper." It's an opportunity for us to recognize that we have disconnected from parts of ourselves. Developed by Dr. Darren Weissman, The LifeLine Technique discovers how we have subconsciously disconnected from our emotions. By interpreting, harmonizing and releasing the root cause of stress, pain and physical symptoms, our bodies and lives are free to do what they are designed to do, which is to be a self-healing organism.

Daring Spirits: Tell us about a decision that felt really bold
Ariana: My decision not to go to medical school! I went to Boston College, rowed crew, graduated with high honors, B.S. in Biology - the traditional track. A lot of people in my family were also in the medical field (including pioneer heart surgeon and inventor, Dr. Michael DeBaky), so going that route would have been expected and accepted. I always knew I wanted to help people heal (I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was a kid) but I KNEW that I was here to do something more. I wanted to help people heal in a much deeper way - body, mind and spirit. Don't get my wrong, Western Medicine is wonderful for acute situations (I had an emergency appendectomy when I was 6 years old), but for deeper healing I knew there was something more and that something was what I wanted to do.
At 21, this was a difficult decision since I worked so hard and knew others saw me in a very academic light. To break away from the norm, to do something that most people had never heard of or didn't even understand was challenging. I did genetic research right after college and after helping contribute to the Human Genome Project I was ready to start pursuing what I was here to do. I left the genetics lab and became an administrative assistant in NYC!!! People thought I was crazy signing up with a temp agency to do office work. But the beauty in that was I was able to experience so many different people and personalities. It felt like a study in humanities and it helped me see a common thread - that we all really just want to be loved and seen! But until those parts of ourselves are healed we keep searching outside of ourselves and never fully experience that love we are looking for, because ultimately that must come from within. And that's the work I do - helping people connect to, process and release those emotions that keep them from their truth: the truth that we are all divine love and light. We have so many lenses of misperception about ourselves that we've learned growing up that ultimately keep us from this truth.
I gave myself such a gift by temping and breaking away from the norm. I learned so much more about people and myself that I wouldn't have if I had stayed on the traditional 'straight and narrow.' And that has been a big theme in my life with my travels, different work experiences and different living environments (from a high-rise on the Gold Coast in Chicago to a mango treehouse in Hawaii). Live life to the fullest. Follow your heart. Follow your spirit.
Part of this is from my own adventurous spirit, but also from the experience of my father passing away after I graduated college. He was a music teacher for 33 years, retired and a year later went hiking and his heart just stopped. It opened my eyes at a fairly young age that there are no guarantees in life. Live life now.
I feel truly blessed to have had the courage to follow a different path and follow my spirit. While not always easy, completely worth it!
Daring Spirits: Describe a time when things went "wrong" and the Universe delivered.
Ariana: Pretty much whenever I would allow my mind to lead instead of my heart. The Universe has spun me out of some situations - jobs, relationships, living situations - that seemed good on the outside but were not beneficial to me or right for my path. In the moment it feels devastating and like "whose driving this car?!" but in hindsight I completely get it. I have gratitude and have come to understand that I am always being guided for my highest good, even if I can't see it in the moment (I often tell myself "Everything is in Divine Order"). Sometimes the Universe is subtle, and sometimes not so subtle!
Daring Spirits: Beach or mountains? Sweet or spicy? Window or aisle?
Ariana: Both! I'm a Double Capricorn which is the Sea Goat (mountain goat with a fish tail) in astrology. Capricorns are to ascend from the depths of the ocean to the tops of the mountains. (The quote "The depth of your struggle will determine the height of your success" resonates very much with me as Capricorns are hard workers and go deep). And it is so true - I love being deep in the water but also climbing to the top of every mountain I see. I absolutely love both!
Spicy. I love heat and a good kick. It's also super healthy for you!
Window for sure. You get to experience the whole journey that way. I truly love taking off, landing and floating through the clouds - remembering what being out there is like. I feel like I can connect so much with spirit while in flight, physically leaving this earthly plane even if for just a few hours. And some of the most beautiful photos I have are from the window seat.
Daring Spirits: Ariana, how right you are, we do all want to be loved and seen. Thank you for sharing your love and your sight! We will leave you with one of Ariana's favorite quotes and thoughts: "What you think about, and thank about, you bring about." Life is all about the Law of Attraction, and especially the attitude of gratitude. It's just that simple. If only we could all realize this!
