Sometimes I make things harder than they have to be. I'm sure I'm not alone in this.
There are definitely times in life that are challenging and tough. I'm not diminishing that. I'm talking about the times that don't have to be challenging, that don't have to be hard, and yet, we (I) can find a way to make them that way. For example, you need help with something, help arrives, you dismiss it because either you do not recognize it or are too stubborn to accept it, and then have to figure it out on your own.
What's up with that?
There is a picture that floats around that life is hard. We are here to take a few hits, learn a few lessons, and call it a lifetime. Over the past few years, I have consciously noticed when I make things harder than they have to be. Often I find I make things harder when I do not know, when I am working with unknowns. With unknowns, things can feel hard, overwhelming, challenging. Yet, in the unknowns, the opportunities for growth, for change, for new, for different arise.
It's in the unknown that ease resides. It's in allowing that the miracles appear.
What are you making harder? Are you presented with chances for ease and yet actively resist it? Maybe it's time for easy.
As we do.
