Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us. - Marianne Williamson
You're here to do something unprecedented in the world. You're here to live a life that's never been lived before. You're here to be brilliant. And so is everybody else.
Are you owning it?
It's not false modesty to say that we're brilliant. I mean, come on - we're approximately 60 trillion cells, exponentially more atoms, constantly arranging themselves into a singular shape with a singular purpose. Oh, and those atoms are made of the same elements that the whole freakin' universe is made of, stars and all.
So, yeah, the least we can say about ourselves is that we're brilliant.
Imagine what the world would be like if we all stepped into that truth. If we could see the brilliance in others, if we accepted our own extraordinary radiance, would we be kinder? More supportive of each other? Less competitive? Would we stop grasping out of a misguided sense of scarcity and live from abundance? What would that look like for you?
I mean, generally ignoring it or covering it up or thinking brilliance is something special, reserved for a select few, hasn't really been working for us. So what's the harm in turning our thinking upside down for a bit and seeing where that gets us?
A Course in Miracles teaches that you can't see something in others that you are unable or unwilling to see in yourself, and vice versa. If you want to be a big star, if you want to shine like the singular brilliant being that you are, then you're going to have to find a way to see that extraordinary perfection in everyone.
Yes, everyone. Even your own goofy mug in the mirror. Even the people who bug the snot out of you (hey, I never said it would be easy).
And when you do, even for a moment, that releases a flood of dazzling love and healing into the world. It creates space for miracles to occur.
And notice what happens.
