Present in the Midst of Pain
It's really easy to be present in your life when things are easy and fun, when everything is rosy and gentle, full of abundance, laughter, and love.
It's much harder to be present in your life when things are challenging and painful, when facing tough times and everything feels rough.
We talk here at DS about grounding, having our own energy in our space, and healing through active meditation. All of that sounds fantastic when our needs are meant, when we are safe, when we are in a "good" place.
How does this work when things are hard? When life is challenging? When we aren't sure what the next day will bring? When we are experiencing pain and loss?
I would like to say that all these tools magically make everything better. That if you can find the energy and space to sit and connect to your higher self in meditation (using the techniques in AMP to do that), everything instantly shifts.
And it does, on some level. However, the shift is often subtle and not overwhelmingly obvious. You might walk away five or ten minutes later wondering if anything changed at all. Things still feel challenging, life is still hard.
And then, you find your way back to your active meditation again the next day. This time it feels a bit easier, a little lighter.
Then, you find your way back again the next day, and the next day, and the day after that. Each time, things feel a bit easier, a bit lighter, and things start to shift.
Active meditation isn't a quick cure. It's not an easy way out. It's not a magic pill.
It is a long term solution. It is a way to reconnect with gentle and ease. It is a game changer.
When you show up, dedicate time and energy to practicing active meditation every day, when you connect to your energy and your higher self, things shift. Then when things feel challenging, when the tough patches arise, the groundwork exists to be present in the midst of it all. And when you are present, even through the pain, everything changes. Life takes on a whole new meaning.
